Moving from Basildon Academy to study Level 3 BTEC Extended Diploma in Games Development, Daniel is currently in his final year of the course.
"I decided to come to Seevic to broaden my knowledge of game design and the industry standards. As well as this, the campus was nice and modern as I started just after it had been redeveloped, and it was easy to get to from home.
"The Tutors at Seevic give us more independence in comparison to school. I feel like I'm treated more like an adult here, and I'm given a lot more freedom to get on with my work. The Tutors are a lot like friends and support us a lot.
"I've really enjoyed my course and it's what I'd expected. I'm typically in four days a week, with an extra day to complete coursework from home if necessary. My favourite part of my course is designing 2D games from the initial concept to the finished product.
"The people are what makes Seevic and this is what I've enjoyed the most, both the Tutors and other students. I feel like I've made lifelong friends, as cheesy as that sounds!
"After I finish, I'll be going to the University of East London to study Computer Game Development. After university, I'd love to own an independent games studio or join a games studio as an engineer."
Top Tips from Daniel
- If you're planning on studying Games Development, don't assume that it'll just be about testing and playing games. You'll be thinking about the overall concept all the way through to the finished product.
- Try and get the earliest bus you can to avoid traffic!
